What's the best granite backsplash adhesive remover?

I removed my granite backsplash because I moved the wall behind it. Now I want to clean off the old adhesive and reapply the backsplash to the new wall. What is the best adhesive remover? What's the best granite backsplash adhesive remover?
The adhesive use in granite/engineered stone dries virtually as hard as the rock it is applied to.

You may have some success trying to carefully ';chisel'; the adhesive off, using a very steep angle.

I doubt you will get it all. Be warned....Granite is very easy to crack/break.

What remains, you could remove with a angle grinder. That should get the surface flat enough for re-installation.(maybe you could use the angle grinder for the entire epoxy removal)

This operation will be dusty....have someone stand by with the shop-vac to get as much of the dust as you can. What's the best granite backsplash adhesive remover?
My son, who works for a master carpenter who does antique home restoration and specializes in bringing kitchens up to date in those old homes said: ';sometimes, depending on the adhesive, you can slowly heat it up with a heat gun and chisel the adhesive away, but you have to fo this on a solid flat surface and have adequate ventilation and wear a resporator due to toxic fumes';.
Most granite is attached with an extremely strong glue, sometimes even with a thin set and its almost impossible to remove this. You may have to replace the dry wall to get it ready to reapply another back splash.
