What are adhesive remover ?

i need some knowledge of adhesive remover . .What are adhesive remover ?
An adhesive remover would be anything that removes the ';sticky'; residue left by a price tag, tape, label etc. on a product of some kind. The adhesive remover is usually similar to ';lighter fluid'; or rubbing alcohol. There are products sold especially made for removing adhesive. What are adhesive remover ?
Hi, Adhesive Remover removes sticky stuff such as chewing gum, grease, tar, residue from stickers and labels from a variety of materials.

Here are some reviews on a variety of adhesive removers http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8%26amp;鈥?/a> Hope this helps.
Simple drugstore nail polish remover works on most (buy not all) things for me. Make sure you don't rub or scrub too hard with anything as it can damage your surface. A paper towel, facial tissue or plain cotton to wipe the goo off with should work.

This can save lot's of money sometimes... as it can be cheaper that specialty goods. Don't get a name brand, get a generic ';Walgreen's'; type of brand.
Goo Gone works excellent, removes adhesive/stickers, tape, glue, wax, tree sap...

Alternative Wallpaper Adhesive Remover?

I just peeled off a wallpaper from a wooden cabinet. Now I'm left with a sticky mess. The cabinet looks really nice, but has the leftover wallpaper adhesive all over it. Since the object it is on is wooden, sanding it down isn't an option. I don't have the time, or the money for that matter to buy commercial grade adhesive removers. What liquid can I use as an adhesive removing alternative that won't damage the wood and will take off the glue with some rubbing/scrubbing.Alternative Wallpaper Adhesive Remover?
Make up a mixture of fabric softener and water....soak the wood with the mixture and then it should come right off. You may have to repeat the process a few times but it will work.Alternative Wallpaper Adhesive Remover?
Most wallpaper adheasive is water based.

Use a sponge and lots of hot water.

  • Is there a PLASTIC PIPE ADHESIVE remover?

nope sorry. once its on it creates a chemical bond/seal that cant be removed. cut it out and put in a coupler. thats the best and easiest thing to do.

if u have the glue on something else try goof off or mineral spirits to loosten it up. u may need to use a little elbow greaseIs there a PLASTIC PIPE ADHESIVE remover?
laquor thinner may do it. sand paper will for sureIs there a PLASTIC PIPE ADHESIVE remover?
PVC Cement and ABS Cement are just the resin of the polymer that you want to connect dissolved in a mixture of Acetone, MEK and a few other solvents, so to redissolve the adhesive you would apply a mixture of Acetone and Methyl Ethyl Ketone to it and wait for it to soften, then scrape away any that is partially dissolved and reapply. If you are trying to seperate a joint in the pipe, don't bother, it won't work. But, this is a perfect solution if you did something like drip the adhesive onto a countertop or onto the floor. If this is the case I would recomend scraping away all you can without damaging the underlying surface, then apply the solvent and scrape the drip and continue until you have a clean surface. Just be careful about the surface that you are cleaning it off of, if it is a solid-surface countertop, Corian etc., the solvents might damage the underlying surface, so test the solvent in an inconspicuos location first.

    Adhesive remover for sealed envelopes?

My sister is getting a wee-bit freaked out over the fact that there's a date mistake on her wedding invitations. She's already sealed like 100 of them and wants to keep the engraved envelopes (which are pretty expensive apparently).

Is there a solvent or other thing out there made to remove envelope adhesives in a manner that keeps them a) intact and b) reusable.

Million thanks in advanceAdhesive remover for sealed envelopes?
I have also hear steam, but it has not been that successful for me. I still had to kind of mutilate the envelope to get it open. Try a dry iron on the sealed part with a thin cloth in between, not too hot. I have also heard putting the envelope in the freezer for a while until the glue hardens will work. Whatever you do, experiment with EXTRA envelopes first.

Alas, let this be a lesson, sealing the envelopes should be the very last thing you do when sending a large number of invitations or anything for that matter...right before you take them to mail, even after the stamps.Adhesive remover for sealed envelopes?
Steam from like an iron or however you can shoot steam up on the sealed part of the envelope, it will make it come open without damaging the envelope.
Steam! You can also use the tea kettle.
Yep, I heard that steam works too.

    Adhesive screw head remover?

Hi, i'm trying to remove a small (3mm diameter) philips head screw from a cell phone i'm trying to re-house. I remember hearing a few years ago about a material that acts like a glue between a screw driver and a screw, something along the lines of putting a bit of this adhesive stuff on the head of the screw, putting the screw driver in this stuff, and an amount of time later the screw driver is stuck to the screw head and you're able to unscrew the screw easily enough. Anyone know if this stuff is real, or if so what's it called ?

Or would any metal to metal super glue do the same job ?

Thanks for the help.Adhesive screw head remover?
Don't use gorilla glue as it sort of expands as it dries and will glue your screwdriver to the phone as well. Just try the super glueAdhesive screw head remover?
I would say you could use regular super glue, I would use the gel kind. Or there is this other glue called Gorilla Glue. Both would work fine. Just a dab, that way you can remove screwdriver from screw after it is reinserted.
